Meet SCHAFT’s new Bipedal Robot: a robot with two big legs to climb stairs, carry a 60-kg payload, and move in tight spaces while keeping its balance. The robot can move its legs behind its body to get out of tight situations. It can also walk indoors or outside, on rough terrain.

The above video shows this robot in action. It remains to be seen when these robots will become available, but they do show some promise.
