4.4mm Surgical Microrobot for Cutting Tissues, Storing Samples

Surgical robots don’t need to be giant machines to complete procedures. This 4.4mm Surgical Microrobot is a nifty little robot that can cut tissues, release drugs, and store samples. As NTUsg scientists explain, this robot can be remote controlled by magnets. It can move across soft, uneven surfaces, which is what these machines would have to encounter inside the human body.

Thanks to these miniature robots, it is possible to perform minimally invasive surgeries that are safer for humans. It is possible to shrink these down to 1.5mm.
