The company has shared a video that shows how this robot sees the world. It detects and identifies objects and figures out where it needs to grasp it. This robot also knows how to place them accurately.

Atlas can estimate its own position relative to fixtures. Its object pose tracking system SuperTracker uses robot kinematics, vision and other streams of info to enable Atlas to adapt to challenging situations, for example when an object slips from its grasp. More info is available here.
