F.03 Humanoid Robots Cleaning Rooms in 2 Minutes

Figure is behind some of the most exciting developments in the world of robots. We have covered a bunch of them in the past. The company has recently taught 2 x F.03 robots to clean a room and make a bed in under 2 minutes. It is all done autonomously without human intervention. As the company explains, these robots can open doors, hang clothes, take out the trash, and move chairs.

These robots are not using a shared planner between them. There is no central coordination happening. Here is how they work:

each robot reads the room through its own cameras and infers its partner’s intent the way two people do when they fold a sheet, from motion alone.
