In the future, robots will charge your cars. In fact, there are already robotic stations that use a robotic arm to charge electric cars. This video from Flexiv Robotics shows an automatic robotic charging station. Mercedes Benz in partnership with Flexiv and IONCHI, has integrated automated charging into its iOS/Android apps. Its intelligent park pilot autonomously maneuvers the car into position. The charging station uses LiDAR to continuously track the car’s position in real-time.
