AquaPenguin: Autonomous Robot Penguins

In the past few months, we have covered plenty of cool bio-inspired robots. The AquaPenguin from Festo is a robot penguin with a hydrodynamic body contour. These robotic penguins can maneuver in cramped spaces and turn on the spot, since their wing, head, and tail sections can be moved in all directions.

These vehicles operate underwater autonomously. They use a 3D sonar system to communicate with other robotic penguins.
