Panasonic Cocotto Robot for Children

Plenty of companies are working on robots for children, adults, and seniors. Panasonic is expected to be very involved in this field. Its Cocotto robot is a social robot for young children that encourages them to move, talk, and connect.

The robot ball has LEDs to display its emotions. The above video from the Japan Times shows it in action. Panasonic is also working on an electric bed-wheelchair robot that helps users get out of the bed and move on their own.
