Robotic surgeons are nothing new. We have covered a bunch of here in the past. Neuralink is now using a surgical robot for neurosurgery. After the surgeon has created the opening in the skull and lined up the brain to the robot, the robot inserts threads from the implant into the brain. These thin electrodes can be hard for a human surgeon to put in one by one. Robots can automate this process.
