It is no secret that the US military will be using more robots in the future. In fact, it has already ordered 70m worth of Centaur robots from FLIR. The FLIR Centaur is a ground robot for detection and disposal of hazards. It weighs 160 pounds and has a manipulator arm with a reach of over 6 feet. It can climb stairs and carry modular payloads for CBRN detection.
