There is no better way to learn electronics and design than 3D printing and programming your own robot. ARMR is an autonomous room mapping robot that is fully 3D printed and uses LIDAR and SLAM to map out a room. Brendan Russell, a student at Quinsigamond Community College, is behind this robot.
