Engineers are always inspired by nature to improve their robot design. Engineering researchers from the University of Toronto have come up with a miniature robot that can crawl like an inchworm. The idea is to use responsive smart materials to create curling and crawling soft robots that could come handy in security, aviation, surgery and wearable electronics.
