Flying Squirrel Drone with Foldable Wings

Here is another robot that is inspired by nature. This Flying Squirrel Drone is highly maneuverable. It coordinates its foldable wing system and propeller through the Thrust-Wing Coordination Control (TWCC), which controls the folding and unfolding timing of the wings. The data used for the neural network was collected by flying the drone in the wild.

This controller was used in outdoor environments at speed of 7.3m/s. The above video shows what it is all about.
