Open source robot dogs are nothing new but most of them are made of 3D printed and plastic parts that are not too sturdy. The MEVIUS2 is an open source robot dogs you can build with off-the-shelf components. This robot was made with sheet metal welding and machining. It is about the size comparable to the Spot from Boston Dynamics.
