Mindar: Kannon Bodhisattva Robot Shares Buddha’s Teachings

Will robots replace priests and other religious teachers in the future? That remains to be seen. This Kannon Bodhisattva Robot at Kyoto temple is already capable of sharing Buddha’s religious teachings. Named Mindar, the robot can give speeches with English and Chinese subtitle projections.

Mindar stands 1.95m tall, weighing 60kg. It was constructed by Tokyo-based A-Lab Co.
