Surgery robots are nothing new. We have covered a bunch of them in the past. Surgeons have now used humanoid robots to perform a live surgery. In this case, they were able to use a humanoid robot to remove a gallbladder. The second surgery involved 2 robots working side by side.
So why use humanoid robots? Regular robotic surgery systems can perform only one function. Humanoid robots can take on a wide range of tasks. These particular robots are 5 feet tall, weighing 60 pounds.
