The idea of using robots and drones for search & rescue operations after natural disaster is nothing new. Walk-Man happens to be a versatile humanoid robot for rescue missions. It is smart enough to operate autonomously in case of limited communication.
The robot can walk and crawl over uneven surfaces. We have already covered it performing tasks in challenging environments. This video shows how Walk-Man can be used to assess buildings, serving as an avatar for a human operator standing outside in a safer environment.
