Remember Salto? It is a small jumping robot from UC Berkeley’s Biomimetic Millisystems Lab that could jump 1.008 meters with vertical jumping agility of 1.75 meters per second. It weighs 100 grams, measuring 26 centimeters tall. The design is inspired by the Galago. The researchers behind the project have added aerodynamic thrusters for out-of-plane orientation control to upgrade the robot.

Salto-1P reorients itself between jumps with two thrusters and its tail. It has a max jump of 4.1′ with 1.83 m/s vertical jumping agility. The above video shows it in action.
