In the past few years, we have covered a bunch of research projects that aim to improve grasping mechanism in robots. Researchers at the University of Auckland have come up with an ultra-fast aerial grasping approach using a passive closing, adaptive robot hand.
In addition to the robot hand, the researchers also used a quick release mechanism and distance sensor to pull this off.
