In the past few years, we have covered plenty of neat bio-inspired robots. This Venus Flytrap robot is also worth a look. It is a smartphone controlled robot made by NTU researchers. This mechanism can be used to pick up wires, grab falling objects, and a whole lot more. The below video shows it in action:
