Meet the Mochibot: a 32-legged spherical robot based on a rhombic triacontahedron that can move in every direction. It retracts and extends arms on either side to move. To stop, the robot flattens itself parallel to the ground.
As explained on IEEE, the robot has legs made of 3 sliding rails. The Mochibot weighs only 10kg. It can move smoothly and continuously in any direction by altering its shape.
