When it comes to robots, many of us prefer open source models. The K-Bot is an upcoming open source humanoid robot you can purchase for $8999. It is a general purpose robot standing 4’7″ tall, weighing 77lb. It is designed with developers in mind with an open source SDK and Python coding support. Users will be able to program these robots using the K-Scale Operating.
This robot is capable of running end-to-end AI/ML models. K-Sim happens to be its reinforcement learning framework that can be used to teach the robot how to walk, dance, and cook. K-Bo’s OS is based on Rust.
