Here is a hydraulic high-power muscle for robots that can survive tough challenges. Developed by Suzumori Endo Robotics Laboratory at Tokyo Institute of Technology and Bridgestone Corporation, this solution can be run over by a car and still function. It is force controllable and can be controlled to crush concrete.

The muscle measures 15mm in diameter and generates 700 kgf contraction force. More info is available here.
