Robots are going to do most of space exploration for us in the future. Take the GITAI’s R1 robot for instance: it is an advanced lunar robotic rover that can perform mining, inspection, maintenance, assembly, and other tasks. It was tested at the lunar surface environment in JAXA’s Sagamihara Campus a few months. The below video shows it in action:
