Robots have been used to study the underwater world a lot in the past. EPFL researchers have come up with a new miniature robot to swim with fish and learn how they communicate with each other. The robot is 7 centimeters long and has magnets that link it to a tiny engine under the aquarium to move it.
The goal is to see how fish respond to the robot. The robot also adapts its behavior by learning how to communicate and move like the fish.
