EPFL’s Drone Has Feathers, Flies Like a Bird

There are plenty of fancy drones on the market. Not all of them perform well in windy conditions though. EPFL’s bio-inspired flying machine is different. It has feathers and changes shape to fly with agility. The artificial feathers have a layer of fiberglass covered by nylon. A carbon fiber shaft is used to strengthen the wings.

This drone simply withstands winds by flying like a bird.
