Here is an EMG controlled robot that makes life easier for disabled users. EDAN (EMG-controlled Daily Assistant) consists of a robotic manipulator with a 5-finger hand to allow wheelchair users manipulate objects conveniently. This robotic system has 28 degrees of freedom. It is battery operated and lasts up to 6 hours.
EDAN is all about assisting people with severe motor impairments. The robot is smart enough to predict the intention of the user to get tasks done properly.
