Germ zapping robots are nothing new. We have already covered a bunch of hospitals using these. Genesis Healthcare has also started deploying Xenex Germ-Zapping Robots. These robots destroy germs and bacteria that could cause a threat to patients.
Xenex uses UV light to kill bacteria and viruses. Its cycle lasts about 5 minutes with no warm-up or cool-down time. The robot has WiFi and cellular connectivity. More info is available here.
