Toyota is one of many companies working on robots to perform everyday tasks for seniors and people with limited mobility. The Human Support Robot was recently trialed by U.S. war veteran Romulo (Romy) Camargo to complete tasks in his home.
The robot can grab a snack, bring water, or open doors. It helps users gain some independence back when it comes to tackling everyday tasks. More info is available here.
