In the future, many companies will use drones to deliver goods to their customers. Researchers are already working on perfecting this idea. As it turns out, Stanford students are designing and building autonomous delivery drones. They are constructing quadcopters that can fly GPS waypoints completely autonomously. Actuators and servos are used to get the delivery mechanism right.
These drones were used to deliver keys to people who have lost them or cupcakes. The above video has more info on this.
