Studying fragile organisms such as jellyfish with robots can be a whole lot easier with soft robotic grippers. Researchers at the Wyss Institute and Baruch College have developed an ultra-soft gripper to gently grasp jellyfish and release them without harm. It has fingers inflated with water to gently grasp and release fragile marine life.
