Skin-On Interfaces is a project by Marc Teyssier, Gilles Bailly, Catherine Pelachaud, Eric Lecolinet, Andrew Conn and Anne Roudaut that explores such an approach. This artificial skin for robots and smartphones enables new forms of input gestures.
