Robotic Teleoperation with Haptic Gripper & Glove

Robotic arms being teleoperated is nothing new. Not all of them are capable of handling delicate items though. Researchers at Northeastern are working to change that by removing stiff jerky motions in robotic arms. As they show in the below video, the operator wears a gripper as the robot. This approach was used to pick up fragile items such as eggs.

The arm has no motors, so it will be much lighter and easier to move around. With machine learning, the performance of these robots can be further improved.
