Surgeon controlled robots are nothing new. They are already being used for minimally invasive surgery. Researchers at the Fraunhofer IPA have developed a surgical assistance system that works like an additional hand. It can hold endoscope camera and other tools without tiring.
As you can see in the above video, this “third hand” can be controlled using a device like a Myo Armband, joystick, or augmented reality glasses.
