Robotic Arm for Wheelchair-Bound Patients Supported by Accenture & Intel

Here is another robot that can make life easier for wheelchair users. Accenture & Intel are supporting this project led by Neuro-Biomorphic Engineering Lab (NBEL) at the Open University of Israel in collaboration with ALYN Hospital. The robotic arm simply assists patients with spinal injuries in performing daily tasks.

Intel’s neuromorphic research chip, Loihi, is used to reduce the cost of creating such devices. More information is available here.
