Meet the Poppy Ergo Jr: an open source 3D printed robotic arm developed to teach kids basic tech concepts. It can be programmed using a web browser (with Python). Visual programming is also supported. The robot arm has 6 motors and comes with position and contact sensors. You can add more sensors to improve it.
The robot has a REST API, so you can use C++, Java, Matlab, Ruby, JavaScript to send it commands.
