This is the ORCA v1: an open source tendon-driven humanoid robot with 17 degrees of freedom and popping joints, so it is easy to assemble and doesn’t break easily. It has a silicone skin with tactile sensors. Its structural components can be 3D printed. It can be assembled under 8 hours with a material cost of about $2000.

The ORCA v1 will have STLs, control software, material lists, and step-by-step assembly instructions that will be publicly available. The above video shows it in action. You can find out more about it here.
