In the future, robots will be used to do more exploration on the moon and other bodies in our solar system. Before sending robots to space, we need to test them for scenarios they will face. Take NASA Glenn’s SLOPE Lab for instance: it is a simulated lunar terrain that is being used to test mini rovers.
This lab allows researchers to test their robot to see how they could navigate hard to reach places such as craters and caves on the moon.
