We have all seen the pros do parkour moves. They are much more challenging for a robot to master no matter how agile it is. Light-Loco-Parkour is a humanoid parkour system with skills grown through Real2Sim2Real. It is a locomotion system that enables robots to move through complex environments. It can cross narrow plank bridges, climb stairs, speed vault over obstacles, and even navigate outdoor terrain.

Lightbot 0 has 21 actuated joints. It weighs only 18.9kg. As the researchers explain, this robot runs:

a single recurrent policy onboard at 50 Hz from a chest-mounted depth camera, proprioception, and a velocity command—with no runtime reference, skill label, external tracking, or offboard state estimation.
