Plenty of companies are working on perfecting air taxis these days. Joby Aero’s electric air taxi has already completed a 150 miles flight on a single charge. It comes with vertical take-off & landing capability. It uses commercially available lithium ion batteries.
According to the company, this aircraft will be used commercially in 2024. It will transport a pilot and 4 passengers at speeds up to 200mph.
