We are already using robots in space. More sophisticated robots are always being developed to work on the moon and Mars. The Hakuto robot rover is designed to travel 500 meters on autopilot and work around craters and rocks. The rover can take high-resolution 360-degree images of the lunar surface.

As Ruptly reports, the robot will compete in Google Lunar XPrize competition.
