Playing Five Finger Fillet Knife Game with a Robot

In the past few years, we have covered plenty of robots handling knives to prepare salads and performing other tasks. This video from Irfon Automation shows how you can program a Staubli TX40 robot to play a knife game. This is a 6-axis industrial robot with repeatability of +/-0.02mm and reach of 515mm.

You wouldn’t want to play Five Finger Fillet against a robot that is not programmed precisely. As it turns out, the above robot is programmed well enough not to cause the guy an injury.
