Robots are going to sort packages for us completely autonomously in the future. Helix is taking steps towards as it has human-level dexterity and speed. It can handle handle deformable bags and flat envelops. It has an improved speed of 4.05 seconds per package while maintaining accuracy. As Figure explains, shipping labels can now be correctly oriented for scanning. The robot has learned from demonstration.
