It is no secret that DARPA is working on perfecting autonomous vehicles for difficult terrains. DARPA’s Robotic Autonomy in Complex Environments with Resiliency (RACER) program is all about giving driverless combat vehicles off-road autonomy while maintaining pace with vehicles driven by people.
