Here is another robot that can automate repetitive, boring tasks. The Coin Loading & Unloading Robotic Cell automates the removal of two styles of coins from their protective case for manual inspection and certification. The robot then repackages the coins back into their case after the process is done.
The machine relies on a FANUC iRVision to locate and pick the coins accurately. The above video shows it in action.
