There is no better way to learn about robots and improve your coding skills than building and programming your robots. Stuff Made Here has posted a video that can give you an idea what it takes to build your own robot barber.
To build this robot, the maker used an Intel RealSense Depth Camera, Teensy 3.6, stepper drivers, and a bunch of other components. As you can see in the video, the haircut is not perfect (especially in the back), but it is still very promising.
