Boston Dynamic’s Spot shouldn’t need any introduction: it is a robot dog capable of taking on all kinds of inspection jobs. The company’s latest video shows the latest updates to this robot. It now has upgraded sensors with 5 stereo cameras to help the robot map its surroundings in 3D. With full color imagery, the robot now makes it easier for its operator to see the environment.

Spot now has an improved tablet with digital joysticks to drive the robot. It has a rugged design with drop protection. An additional physical joystick with 5 direction buttons is available for the Spot Arm. With Spot CORE I/O, the robot can “process data in the field for tasks including computer vision-based site inspections, continuous data collection, and more.” It allows AT&T 5G connectivity.
