Meet Baryl: an autonomous robot that navigates railway stations to allow people to throw away their trash without having to break a sweat. Its body is inspired by the sea lion. The robot stays out of people’s way while approaching those with a piece of trash to get rid of.
This robot is going to be tested in the near future to help researchers perform technical adjustments and further optimize its behavior.
