There are plenty of taser guns that can be used for self defense. Wouldn’t it make sense to use tasers to stop mass shooters? That’s what Axon is working on. The company has announced that it is beginning development of a non-lethal, remotely operated taser drone system to incapacitate active shooters in less than 60 seconds.
This drone will also be used for active shooter training in virtual reality. It can help increase situational awareness in active shooter event. Axon is working on a lightweight TASER payload that can be deployed on a small robot or drone. The final decision to use force will be made by humans.
