Here is an autonomous Biohybrid Fish that swims like the heart beats. Harvard University researchers in collaboration with Emory University researchers developed this artificial fish to swim by replicating the muscle contractions of a pumping heart.

This fish has two layers of muscle cells that contract and stretch to keep it going for more than 100 days. A pacing node was engineered to control the frequency and rhythm of contractions.
