In the future, robots, drones, and self-driving cars will be delivering all kinds of things for us. Plenty of engineers and researchers are working on perfecting these technologies. Take ADORE for instance: it is a research project for Autonomously Delivered Orders from Restaurants at EPFL It has an electric van 1 meter wide and 3 meters long that uses 15 sensors, 5 cameras, a touchscreen and a satellite antenna.

The van can travel as fast as 50 km/h but for safety, the speed is capped at 6km/h on campus. The “electric vehicle was designed by Chinese firm Neolix.” It can’t carry people but can carry food in its wide boxes.
